34169 of us, give or take 34168.
Whether or not you kill the trans I think depends on
the STR a lot, as well as whether trans tune has the
line pressure applied when you need it. Friction slip
seems to be the number one killer, short of when you
start breaking input parts. I have an unusually low
STR, partly on account of this theory (that, and no
traction so why bother going higher and losing some
efficiency?).

I have had my Fuddle for 4 years now, and about 50,000 miles.
At that time it had a 2.73 geared rear end. Probably the worst set up you can have if you want your tranny to last.
That being said, I am on my 23rd bottle of nitrous and have just now, [2 months ago] installed lower gears.
Tranny is still going strong.
Change my fluid every year and thats it.
Put in a good cooler, DO NOT delete torque management and you should be fine.

I just put a Yank SS4000 in mine a couple of hundred miles ago . Stock tranny w/97k on it . Lowered my torque management , bumped up line pressure and added a B&M trans cooler . So far ,,Im ok . I plan on changing the trans fluid very often . ( every oil change ) Since I have access to free fluid at work
