So I took out the TC bolts today to see how long they actually are. Heres a pic of how many threads were left on the bolt after just threading them in once. This is with the 1/16 washer in there as well. Looked good to me so I kept them. I did put blue thread sealer on them though.

Its feels a lot like driving through mud your first trip out. Your foot is still trained for the stock stall, so you don't really go very fast

You're probably fine. I too was surprised at how much I lost. I would drive it around the block, come back, check it and add. It took a bunch of times.

Yep, my converter was the beginning of the end for my GMMG. It's amazing how much volume the converter adds to the exhaust note.
The shifts are not as hard as before.
A fact of life with a much smaller, lighter, converter. The best way to address that is with a Transgo shiftkit. But as that is best done with the tranny out, and yours is back in, you can improve it with tuning. You'll probably want to adjust your shift points anyway to match the driving characteristics of the new converter.

Did you use any other threads for reference during the install? If so link them up. Any full throttle blasts yet?

I drove for about 75 miles tonight and all I can say is wow! Who ever says their higher stall made their car slower from a highway roll must have a junk stall or the wrong stall for their setup. This thing hauls ***. Step on it at 65mph and seems like im at 90mph in no time. Im VERY happy. Thats just talking highway speeds. Now you wanna talk about a night and day difference from a 30mph punch?...total ape rapage lol
I tried a 3/4 throttle punch from maybe a 5-10mph roll and spun the street tires so I let out. Its pretty much useless unless sticky tires are on the car (which we already knew)
Next step is to get this thing tuned before the 1st for opening day.
Maybe I should get a ported tb before the tune huh?

Im trying to figure out a good dr for the street. I liked the mt drs I had before but idk how long they will last. I have my hoosier drs for the track that I used last year. I wish I could just drive with those but they are not a good street tire lol

I had great luck with the Nitto 555R on the street. They hook almost as well as the Mickey Thompsons but are supposed to last a lot longer (I haven't put many miles on my MT yet).

The nittos 555r look like their about 50 bucks cheaper to. They are about the same price as the yokohamas I have for the street now. I wonder how long they really last though.

Dude I cant tell you how easy it is to drive but I will tell you when guys say "drives just like stock" they are full of **** and it dosent drive like stock but its really not a big deal. I am glad I kept my ory pipe instead of getting duals though cause it is quite a bit louder now. I love it
