4l60e to TH400 price?

I currently have a 4l60e in my trans am. ( my 4th one ). and I am looking to swap it out for a TH400 with a brake. for anyone that has done this what all did you wind up paying to do this? I know that you can't just swap the 2 trannys and that you have to replace other parts as well ( driveshaft, torque converter) what did you wind up paying for the entire deal? thanks for the help

Youll need a driveshaft, SFI flexplate, trans mount, trans crossmember, dipstick and tube, converter, new shifter or modify your old one, fluid (Hygard) since you want a brake, tune out codes if you want. The costs add up quick. I just did this exact swap and have no idea what I have in it as some stuff was used when i purchased it.

how do you like the TH400? what stall do you have? and do you drive it on the street?

Swapping to th 350 about $3000 to $3500 maybe more.
Trans, converter ,dipstick, crossmember , shifter ,driveshaft, fluid. tach with shiftlight. Although when I am done I will have a really nice setup.

Hvent driven it yet. My damn new converter had a leak at a weld and I am waiting for my new one. Had knee replacement so It just sat by my car for months until about 2 weeks ago when i got it all together and saw the damn leak

I've been looking at some of the tranny websites and have been seeing TH400's that go for over $4000 thats just the tranny. am I bat **** crazy or does that seem crazy expensive
