Default 3500 stall as DD?

hello guys I have a question, does anyone here have any experience DD a 3500 stall with a 4L80 in a Fbody?

Im still not sure what high stall does on cars so any link or a good explanation about would be awesome!

We put a Yank 3600 stall in my Son-inlaws Nova 6.0 4l80, It still runs the stock cam for now but it takes off pretty easy, Most people would think it was a stock stall until you step on it hard...then it shreds the tires lol

I have a 245mm Circle D Pro billet 3200-3400 converter in my car which is perfect for my mild cam L92 that makes a boatload of torque at 3200.

It really depends on your combination!

As long as you buy a quality converter you will be fine. I got a custom converter from FTI that stalls at 4200 and I don't see why it would be a hindrance to drive it daily.

Drive my 3500 circle d all the time with zero problems. Only difference I see is when I hit it hard from a stop it rips the tires .

to OP,you didn't mention what is your rear end gear ratio, has a large effect on how an aftermarket higher stall feels as a DD.

Back in the day I used the Yank SY3500... It was a sweet converter... They stopped making it long ago. Since then I have always had great luck with the SS series 3600-4K..
