4l80e question (overdrive sprag)
Ok just need some confirmation on the overdrive sprang, does is spin both directions or is it a one way sprag? I'm buttoning everything back up and notice the over drive plant spins freely both ways. The sprag is brand new. I couldn't upload the video keeps saying wrong format here goes the imgur url.

No its all (2003) from the same unit, im doing a ck performance master shift calibration kit , new clutches, steels, bushings, and bearings. I did have to disassemble the over drive planet (in video) to replace one of the bearings in it.
Op are you checking the sprag properly? In the video it looks like the lower part of the sparg race is just spinning in the clutch drum. So it is going to turn both ways because there is nothing to hold it. Shouldn't you hold that sprag race in one hand and turn the other race with the other hand? I don't know much about 4L80Es, but it doesn't look like it is being test correctly to me. If I am wrong just disregard.

the one way clutch itself appears to be upside down. I install the one way clutch into the overrun drum first. the internal notches of the one way will match the race. then install the planet over the drum and once it engages the one way it will only go one direction to engage all three frictions. the drum itself looks like an early version though, I may be mistaken. if it hasn't been replaced/changed you should be good.

If you are asking about one of the Rollers from the One-Way Roller-Clutch...
Then it is fine.
The Rollers can fall out when the One-Way Roller-Clutch is not assembled in between the Races.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. I'll start assembly and checking clearance tomorrow.
