Damn too bad I didn't think of measuring height of mine... 2 3/8" looks huge to me

Actually I lied. Sorry. The center of the output shaft is 2 3/8 from the flat on the floor behind the shifter hole were the boot would have mounted.

Would any of these conversions work for and a4 to m6 on the gto or is it only specific to the f-bodys? I would really like to do this conversion for my gto

I'm gonna start my M6-A4 conversion this week, when I'm done would it be OK to drive my car with the M6 pcm as long as I manualy shift? I ask because my car has a cam and full bolt ons and the M6 pcm is tuned for it and A4 pcm has a stock tune.

I drove mine I built the harness and just left it unplugged until I flashed the auto tune in then copied my tables into it.

Cool, so I should be good as long as I dont plug the tranny. I want to get it tuned early next month, but I just want to make sure I'm going to be OK driving the car till then. Its not my dd, I just dont want to waist half the summer waiting on a tune lol.

I know this is a old thread but i wanted to post this here to keep a lot of the info us swap guys need in 1 place.

Here is how you wire up the 6 pin connector that comes off the switch at the shifter.


A- Just grounded, easy enough.

B- The C220 connector has 2 blk/org wires. 1 of which is for the NSS(Pin H) according to Pin out. Pin 34 on the blue PCM connector is the noted as a blk/org wire for the NSS as well. T the wire off pin B into the wire that comes off pin H off C22

C- run the wire for pin C directly to the brown wire off fuse 2 of the interior fuse block "TURN B/U" which is Turn signal and Back up lamp. Pin C powers pin D....

D- pin D goes to reverse lights threw connector 400. so when the shifter goes to the reverse position, it completes the circuit and signal is sent to the "turn B/u" fuse. Connector C400 is a 6 pin connector near the driver rear tail light. It feeds the rear lighting. Obviously the reverse light wire is here. Tap into the wire.

E- Run this wire to the purple/white wire coming off the M6 NSS.

F- Run this wire to the green wire that comes off the M6 NSS.
