I tried that, but can't find any "driveline section".
Just converters by-vehicle and the wizard thing.

Are any of these crossmembers the kind that let
you relocate the torque arm off the tailshaft, but
still use stock style mount inserts (I have a Random
Tech arm waiting to go on)?

The driveline link is above the vette on the right.

Thanks for bringing these back out. Just ordered a 4L80e from you.

Jimmy:

Yes, it gets it off the tailshaft and it did not need any other parts to work. I have a BMR TA and had to cut about a 1/2" off the forward end to make it fit. I had the original design and it worked great (now sitting in my basement since my conversion to M6). Street traction felt better and no worrying at the track that you'll bust the tailshaft.

Nice...I noticed BMR is now making one, and was wondering if you still did. Are people still having to cut off a little off the snout of the Torque Arms? I have a G2 arm on the way, and with how much money I paid for it, I'd really like to not have to cut it, but will if need be.

Is there any way you could make the link less obscure on your page? It took me a while to find it...

Either way, this is going to be mine in a little while.

Oh, and what is this snout hitting that requires cutting? Just curious...I've never messed around with my tranny cross member.

LG G2 arm will not work with the Yank crossmember.

Randum Tech works well though

I also had to trim the TA a little. Most arms stick out past the bushing, even at full extenstion. You have to trim some of that off, ~1/2"

Any insight into why this is? I just don't see how it would work mounted to the tailshaft but not to this piece?

Damn...that really sucks. I don't want to have to send back this torque arm just so I can use it...maybe I'll just learn to live with broken tailshafts.

For some reason, above the Vette picture I have only
a busted-link box (there's another on the left side too,
but the rest of the page's images & links work). Can
someone post the driveline link-target for me?

From what I understand you do not have to trim the TA or anything else to use the BMR crossmember.

Dave, quick question. The T-56 tranny crossmember and the G2 torque arm...will these two pieces work together? I really don't want to send my torque arm back.

Thanks.

We have redesigned the crossmembers to work with the most popular torque arms.
no mods are requiered.
They are not the same as our early style, they are lighter and stronger than any other version on the market

I am interested in getting one of these but I have a few questions.

How much does it weigh compared to the "other version on the market" (BMR) and how do you know it is stronger? Was there a test performed to support this?

When will these be available?

Thanks

John

We have sold over 125 of these and there are many cars that have run our 350/400 conversion kits since 1999 all of these use or torque mount system
I have owned a race chassis shop and have 15 years in chassis fab.
Our orginal design of crossmember was taken to BMR back in 1999
an was COPIED, but shortly after that we changed our design to better support the higher power levels
There is no torque load applied to the transmission case or rear mount, all energy is send to the chassis, this allows the front body to lift and plant the rear tires.
an added feature is that on cornering that the rear will stay in place better and not push the trans to the side and change rear alignment
