Built 4l60e...Rock-On vs. FLT *poll*
I am about to get a new transmission. I have narrowed it down to the Rock-On level 4 or the FLT level 4, but I don't know which one to get. Which is better? I know the Rock-On comes with the vacuum modulator kit, how exactly does that help? Any input would be great. Thanks.

I've talked to the guys at FLT on the phone before and they were very helpful in every question I had. Somehow my trans hasn't went yet even though I have been trying since I talked to them. Anyway FLT will get my business when the time comes

I have a Rock-on in my car and my son' car. Both make over 600 rwhp and both see strip time. The trannys have workred perfectly and Dave has been great to deal with so of course I will recommend Rock-on. But to say that Rock-on is better than FLT would be hard to do. Both companies put out a first rate product and have many satisfied customers. I think you would be satisfied with either companys product. I will suggest Rock-On to you because you are in Texas and so is Rock-On. That should save quite a bit in shipping or you may be close enough to Denton to pick up a Rock-On and not have any shipping.

Yea...I have been leaning towards Rock-on for that very reason, and the fact that their tranny comes with the vacuum modulator kit and FLT's is $120 extra, but other than that I think I should be satisfied with either one as well.

I've had Dave a Rock-On build a trans for my Vette and it is working great. Dave is also a great guy to deal with. He appears to have alot of passion for the transmissions he builds and to me that says something.
Oh yea, he well be building a 4L60e for my neighbor's 68 LS1 Firebird this week. Rock-On

Both seem to have the market on cornered on true quality, performance, and Customer service. If I were you I'd go Rock On because it is closer. I went with an FLT but being Speed inc sells FLT and is a 10 min walk from my house the choice was obvious.

I have a top notch trans guy that I trust. He's a racer from way back and is not hotrodding a Duramax. I just bought a tranny with a burned second gear band to have built. I'm going with my guy but if I wasn't 100% sure of him I would go FLT. There rep is also top notch.

I would go with the FLT for the simple fact when I called Rock On they couldnt even tell me what all they put in their 80e's and never called me back never sent me an email with the build list of their 80e or anything. Im in Austin Rock on would be really close and i would buy one of their units but since I got treated like **** FLT or a local builder will get my money when I do the conversion.
