True I watched a 5.0 Notch run 9's one time... some SICK *** SH*T right there. Bitch brought the front wheels up high, then on the 1-2 shift you saw the fuel load up and backfire out the back, it is DAMN hard to drive a stick into the 9's... but if you do it... you got something to bragg about... SHIFTED, unlike the competition.

Most likely the compitition had to shift also (RMVB). And wouldn't the auto LS1's in the 8's, 7's & 6's have just a little bit more to brag about?

I think so.

Autos can be quick as hell and less of a pain in the *** in traffic, but any other time I would rather be choosing my gear.

Put a stall in your a4 and you will love the take off. I have been thinking that I might want a m6 because it would be a blast to drive around town but I just recently drove my buddies 99 a4 with a vig3200 and im now forgetting the idea of a 6 speed in my 2000 trans am 'vert

i used to have an M6 and then bought an A4

i found out real quick that the only diff. was driving in bumper to bumper traffic in DFW was a hell of alot easier. also you get bored of m6 quick if you dont race on the highway, A4 is overall better in my book.

its basically based on preference

Converting to a six speed is not exactly an easy thing to do.

The thing to do is buy one of each.

As much as I love driving around town in a stick, my drag racer alter ego knows that the auto will destroy all!

No offense but who cares about dyno #'s. Thats great for some people, but if you race then you would definately choose 1/4 time over hp#'s.

I've got an M6 and I'm sick of it. It gets old in traffic fast. And it's always something. Synchros, clutch, master, slave, blah blah blah. If there was an AFFORDABLE overdrive option, I'd have an auto in that car already.

Check out my sig ive had both. It seems that every time i went to the track the car performed great except for the m6. It was always something, clutch, syncros grinding, then when everything was working fine i would miss a shift and have to wait in line for 3 hours again. I fell into a great deal on a stalled auto and love it. Autos for the track and 6 speed for fun on the street. In a perfect world id have a stalled auto f-body and a six speed zo6 for the street.

I finally got absolutely sick of 4L60E throubles bewteen my old truck and my car and switched to an M6 and have NO regrets, although once I buy a new daily I will most likely go th350/400 since I wont have to travel much in the car
