my 4l60e trans went south, need new one For the last 2 weeks my car has been down, due to the crappy 4l60e trans slipping so bad, the car came to the point were it just wont move and over heats. My question is: which would be the best direction to go from here? What trans do you recommend? YANK, OR FLP level IV? I really like the FLP vaccumm shift option. I'm looking for a trans that shifts hard and firm, and will take the abuse of track use, to street racing.

Others have had good luck with Yank, etc but everyone is pretty damn happy with FLP.

Re: my 4l60e trans went south, need new one Just to let you know the FLP or most of the other 4l60e do not use vacuum to shift, they use vacuum to control line pressure. The computer still controls shifts.
