How many of you are using the NEW GM DEXRON MERCON VI FLUID IN
YOUR 4l60E's


How's it working for you , and problems with it? (SHIFTING .. ETC..
How many miles on the new oil?


Trying to decided whether to make the switch from old Dex III to Dex VI

Thanks ... Help would be greatly appreciated?

Pretty soon DEX6 will be the only fluid you can buy. I don't even think the dexron guys make anything but dex6 anymore, all the stuff on the shelf is old stock. the new 6L80 requires DEX6.

All new GM's come with Dex VI from the factory.

I've had Dex VI in for a little over a year now, bout 10k miles. No problems.

Per GM it is to supercede Dex III, and the metric improvements are impressive. I wanted to do a trans flush when I first picked up my car so I went ahead with it.

Nope. It didn't change a thing from the driver's seat. All behaviors remained the same.

I would like to see someone with a trans temp gauge do a before and after...
