I have Yank, and love it. My car drives like stock around town. Its hard to tell that I have aftermarket stall when I'm driving around town.

TCI is at the bottom compared to these two. I had a TCI before I had a vig. It blew up after 5 weeks!

Precision is the way to go. Not because they are down the road from me either, they really make a great converter. All the old timers around here use precision converters in their pro bracket cars, and they stand up to some abuse. Don't know much about yank, bust seems to me you can't go wrong either way.

precision seems to be a good converter. I through there 1500hp lock up in my car. I probably got too much power for it but if i was under the 1000rwhp mark it would work nice.

I have always thought the Vig was a great street converter and the Yank was a great race conveter. Just MHO

BOTH are great products

I have a vig and have no complaints. Their service is fast and they have helped me out twice already when I had problems with trans. My only warning to you is, I put my converter in and the very next day after the tune was adjusted I lost 3rd ond od. My trans was weak since I beat on it as much as i did, but I didn't think at 30k with a tranny cooler I would have to worry about a rebuild. I wound up having to have the converter cleaned and the trans had to be redone. When the lower reverse sprag let go I sent the converter back again to be checked and cleaned. They gave me a break on the charge and had it back with in the same week i sent it to them. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!

I will let you know what I think when I get my car back. Currently having a Yank SS3600 installed along with true duals by the good folks at SPEEDINC. Really looking forward to it. From the cars I have driven the Yank felt like a tighter TC, great manners until you don't want them...

My Yank croaked, gave me problems 1 month after installation. Blew my trans because of it.

Its now getting replaced by a Vig.

Anyone ever heard of Hughs converters? Don't know if they sell them in a lock up style though. Another converter company that comes to my mind is Coan. Then again don't know if there lock up compatible.

I have a freind with a 4L80E behind a 555 and he uses a hughes converter and tranny components. I've never seen one in a Fbody though.

i am in the same spot as you... in the market for a converter and still have no idea what i want... i am def leaning towards a vig 3600. my car is a bolt on LT1 street/strip car that does see a considerable amount of street time... but eventually i wanna go for the LT1 bolt on record... and i know a 3200 will never get me there
