I also used the madman dipstick tube, it was a lil bit of a pain to get in but it does work and is easy to fill.. also no cutting and measuring so that was a plus.

Where should 4l80 dipstick be located under the hood? Mine ends up being under metal and plastic panel. Looks impossible to fill oil through it. Is it normal??

^^^No Vetal, I highly doubt it. where did you get that dipstick and tube? most guys running a 4l80e are using the Lokar dipstick that is 36 inches long but Madman just came out with one for a little cheaper that is made for the swap too

many guys have tried to run the GM tubes with bending and what not but it seems like every guy that tries eventually switched to an aftermarket piece and said it was way less hassle

We have quite a few customers using it fine and I suspect that its the same piece sold by Madman.

Although not difficult, these types of conversions are not for the mechanically inept.
A simple flexible funnel makes the GM dipstick much easier to deal with than the Lokar junk.

Is it bolted to the bellhousing?
Usually they require very slight bending once installed to adjust for the car, very easy to do by hand and what I would consider common sense.

Not bolted, test fit only. Didn't bend it at all at this point, it fit behind the engine, but it ends sooo far under the panel...
But if people use it with success, I should be able too I guess
P.S. Or should I leave it unbolted, hanging freely?

We've used it at the shop on multiple installs and have dozens of customers using it successfully. It helps when its installed correctly.

Can you give any instructions? I don't want to install it incorrectly and then fight and curse it

The tube we sell is not a modified truck part, it is specifically made for 4L80 swaps into 4th gen f-bodies.

I would suggest installing it correctly and bolting it up.
