Just got my copy of 5.0 magazine in mail today. They got about a 20 page spread on the new 5.0 motor. Lots and lots of detail. Through the years Ive had Mopar, GM, and Ford. Loved them all and we should all enjoy and support the great musclecar revival while we still have it. Cheers boys and girls.![Chug! Chug! I am glad this came out. I was about to buy one of the new SS's but I want this 5.0 instead. The weight and the engine are right!!!
Good job GM, you created a pig.

Only time will tell what the manufacturers will do, but there is a future in performance with these strict regulations if the manufacturers choose to produce the cars.

Who cares about n/a. FI is where the gains are. Rather it was slower stock but was FI friendly.

Because of the pesky scientific conventions of rounding. The 4.9 L 302's ended up right around 4940 (I know it's not exactly right) cubic centimeters. If it was 4950 (or greater without going over 5049), it would be a 5.0. If it helps, it is a 5 L engine (rounding to the nearest Liter), but cannot add the ".0" after the "5" and still be correct, as that rounds to the nearest 1/10th of a Liter. So apparently Forza/Turn 10 failed 4th grade science class. The new engine is slightly bigger and rounds to a true 5.0 Liter.
