Yeah that Genesis is a decent lookin' little car, not quite as quick as the new Mustang in a straight line but ya have to commend Hyundai for at least making a RWD sport coupe.

As it were, the Chevy's heft did little to aid acceleration. While quick, at 5.7 seconds to 60 and 14.3 at 98.9 mph through the quarter mile, the Camaro stopped the clock long after the Ford.
The Genesis talent show continued at the test track, where it put down a 0-to-60 sprint of 5.4 seconds and a quarter-mile run of 14.2 at 99.2 mph. Not as speedy as the slightly lighter Mustang but still blazing.
why is the chevy hefty and is exactly as fast, but the korean car is BLAZING? bulls hi t
the freakin slope car is a cheap stipper and the american cars are well equipped.
top of the line genesis 37k.

Then there's the blowout pricing. Both the Mustang's base and as-tested prices were the bargains of the bunch. A 14-second, 0.96g car for $25,000? Awesome.
how about a 13.7 car for 25,000. way to change the facts. MT

Yea, the Stang nailed the Genesis in the rear on all tests, but the Genesis is the only "real sportscar" in the group. I had to laugh. I get that they liked the Genesis better, but I agree with above posts......don't make light of the other cars when they actually ran similar or better times than your little darling Hyundai.
I guess this means we won't get to see a Genesis vs Mustang GT rematch for the upcoming year, eh?

A guy I work with just bought a blue genesis coupe and it's sweet. I hate to admit I like it as much as I do. I park next to him and I drool over his red brembo calipers each day. He told me it was fun (he's in his early 50s), but 14.2 is nothing to laugh at for a 6 cylinder from an import company. He said he was suprised at how well it corners. It's a sharp little package and I think it's really going to change their brand image for many!

The comments they made on the Genesis vs. the other three are talking just as much about FEEL as the raw numbers. I can't wait to drive the Camaro/Mustang/Genesis for myself.

I really liked the Genesis coupe until I saw who bought it in my town...
apparently it comes stock with a purse for your toy dog and giant neon colored sunglasses.
so in a sense it's direct competition for the V6 mustang

The 370Z would've likely dominated in almost every performance category as well. It's likely a better comparison/match for the V8 versions of the Camaro/Mustang.

Hyundai has had a plant in Alabama since 2005! They make the sonota there, if not other models.

Not me, that Mustang V6 looks like a great all around package. ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
I absolutely agree,
regardless of my appreciation for this new Mustang V6 it's still got to be the V8 or nothing for me when looking at one of these cars for my own use.

The Genesis coupe is ugly as sin and better numbers do not equal a better or more desirable car.
If sales mean anything all three of the cars that lost to the Genesis all outsell it month to month. Hyundai barely makes 2,000 cars per month nationwide and doesn't give a breakout between the sedan and coupe model.
