My buddy has an UD on his cammed 06 GTO and hasn't had any probs. Not sure if it would be different on a V. He was told that it would have problems by a few guys but nothing yet, it's his DD in the hot AZ summer too.

ATI Damper
I'm using the 10% UD damper (#917278) because I didn't want to spin the water pump any slower due to the engine size. With a 180* thermostat, there are no heating problems yet.
I'm also using an LS7 P/S pulley (it's larger) and a Katech idler.
The 25% UD/10% AC UD damper is part #918661 (since I suffer from the dreaded CRS syndrome, it would be better if you go to ATI's website and verify these part numbers under the Y car section). I believe that you can mix and match hub and pulley assemblies if you don't want to slow your AC down any.
Several sponsors carry ATI products. Also, don't forget to pin it and use the ARP balancer bolt.....better safe than sorry!

No issues at all. No need to pin it unless you want to. It should really be done while you do a cam... fans, rad, and condensor need to come out. It's not really worth the A/C evac and recharge for 4-6 rwhp IMO.

The only issue I've had is when slow speed cruising through a parking lot my steering feels a little clunky like the power steering pump is not building full boost. Other than that, makes all the amps the car needs and no issues with cooling. I had a shop put the thing on because I just didn't want to hassle with taking the radiator out and such.

I installed by 25% UD last spring. At that July event I had no cooling issues as stated. I also blew my PS pump, and it sprayed out all over my alternator frying it.
10 days ago my alternator went out again. The voltage went from 13 volts down to 10, and would fluctuate in between. I got it replaced, and will keep an eye on it over the next few months. If I blow it again, I'll go back to a normal balancer.

I don't recommend these. It's one of those mods that makes only a minor change to the car and not worth it on a bolt-on setup. If you go and do heads, cam, blower, whatever... then sure, it helps and you're the type who would go for every ounce. I've done that and it's worth it. But for those with just CAI, cat-back, maybe some headers... really not worth it unless you've got the spare money and time to spend.
Best bang for the buck will always be a cam and some headers. If it didn't already sport 3.73s I'd add gears to that list.
