I've never seen it but it's probably the airbag control box if it's anything like the f-bodies.

Could also be the accelerometer for the stability control and g-meter if it is like some Corvettes I have seen.

I think its the sensor that catches on fire and burns cts-v's to the ground if I'm not mistaken.

Second this answer, I think its the accelerometer for the yaw control otherwise known as stabitrac. I can look on Monday when I am in front of my GM Parts catalog.

If you post ant numbers on it I cant look them up or convert it to a good number and tell you exactly what your looking at.

Third. I think that's why some people have issues with Stabilitrak with cutouts right under there.

ok, yes my car burnt up. insurance said it was this box. ^ ^ in the pic above the silver and yellow box. insurance said that is what started fire. and have paid me. local cops still think i did it. and want to take me to court.

now you would think that if my insurance company paid me and said there was no foul play. then the cops would F*** off. but this one keeps pushing.

monday i have a meeting with my lawyer. and if he tells me that the cops cant do anything with out the insurance. then i might tell the cop to quit pushing it. or i will fill a harrassment charge. this sucks.
