Default E3 plugs and MSD wires

Hi all again, I will be replacing my plugs and wires in a couple weeks and just wanted to get your input and opinions on what plugs and wires you guys like and are running.

I am looking at using e3 plugs and a MSD 8.5mm super conductor wires.

I am 100% OEM LS6 BTW

Can you support your statement? I have seen dyno sheets that show a 7 hp increase on just a e3 spark plug swap on a stock LS1 IIRC. and the 8.5mm wires will help transfer the energy smoother than OEM wires. Now Im not looking for the HP jump in the plugs, but obviously have a better spark than OEM plugs from the dyno #'s.

Nice typo lol, i had MSD wires on my SS and I wound up taking them off because they kept making it miss. Stay with the stock if you are stock, Don't see that much of a difference.

I have not seen (nor searched) for a dyno verified gain on E3's. It would be nice to have a thread about little crap like this but not "My car felt so much faster"....

They could make a few, maybe.

The wires will be a waste of $$.

I SERIOUSLY can't recommend the E3 plugs. The ground electrode in one broke off in #1 cylinder in my '97 Eclipse GST. I never had that happen with ANY other spark plug I've ever used. For the high price and performance promises, I expected better from them.

Thank you all for sharing. After reading your responses I will just stick with OEM, since they already lasted 100k miles new ones also can last another 100k. And the thought of one of the ground electrode from the e3 braking off is kind of scary.

I am surprised MSD wires on your SS made it brake up. I have been running MSD wires on my supra(s) for the last 8 years and never had a problem with them.

No. The scarey part is that I took the top end of the engine, turbo, and the exhaust apart and still never found the electrode. hahaha
The MSD LS coils are a good investment too. Especially if you are running forced induction. The multispark CDI adds a lot to the low end and burn efficiency. Pricey, but effective.
