Considering a CTS-V
Just Curious to see if LS1 Parts are Compatiable with the LS6 5.7L, whats the best mild Cam I can get does anyone have experience with Lingenfelter cams, I see Comp Cams, Iam Not looking to put a Stroker Kit in, Because I can't justify seeing myself put 20G into a motor on top of already 25G car, for that Price I can pick up a C7 Vette with a Ls3 and go from there, or better yet possibly a few years old C6ZO6, I know once I get the cam I am gonna need the Springs etc, I see Lingenfelter offers them in a package, this isn't the only car I am considering, I looking at the GTO and Terminator Cobra and a STI, so I have a few choices along with the C5ZO6, I like to be different though.
if anyone has suggestions feel free to post up, I would eventually like to put a S/C on it as well. in otherwords I wanna near 11 sec car if not 10.

The ls2 vs ls6 debate will never end and both motors are great. The ls2 gets a couple more cubes. The ls6 comes with a better cam and it's a more "exclusive" motor.
I have the ls6 because I found a good deal on my 04. If I found a good deal on an 06/07 I would have bought it.
I'd call Texas speed and performance and tell them your want/needs. They do it for a living and can pick the right cam for what you want to do. http://texas-speed.com/shop/

I would imagine that some ls1 parts would fit but I don't know which ones.

STI? where the hell does that compare to an 03 cobra, zo6 or cts-v? lol sorry just thinking out loud. sounds to me like you want a go fast car. the V will be quick but from what it sound slike you want 11s. never turned anyone away from a V but youd be better off with soemthing else. The V is a quick comfortable car with all the amenities unlike the 03 cobra thats has the same basic inteior as it did back in 96.

then id need to find a rear to surpport the power though because GM got retarted and put the 3.6 rear into, so it would snap in a heart beat, maybe it would be possible to swap a GTO rear or Corvette rear into, probably wouldn't measure out the same. ill have to do more research.
Ive been talking on the STI forums thats one of my top choices along with the Terminator, or C5ZO6
Just looked on Kenne Bell.com and they make better kits now, Iam surprised the amount of Power the S197 Stangs put out with just a stage 1, all of this has me thinking, chances are if I got the dumdumdumdumdum I wouldn't put anything bigger then the 2.6L on there, 5-600 Hp would be plenty for me at that point, Wouldn't wanna risk putting on the 2.8H and killing myself in the process gotta be responsible you know, at least I could keep a somewhat low profile with the CTS because a 5-600 Hp Cts isn't something you see everyday.

They sound good but I wouldn't put one of those in the caddie...You need torque my friend. Remember this is a heavy LS2/LS6 platform. That cam won't do much justice for our cars unless you plan on building the whole motor......LS2LS6

I mean I just read on Kenne Bell site, and they make the KB for all LS Motors. so I am assuming it would work, Ive seen people using their Boost a Pump.
