before anyone asks, this is the boss's car and he has a thing for jets, so here we go. I baby-sat the car while he was at the beach and had the grills blacked out and the rear piece. here's the pics at sunrise, check it out:
and yes, we've raced and my 05 may as well be a geo...basic 13.50 second car vs. 12.20 car...looks sad watching that thing pull away before i can even go to 2nd. The 09+ Vs are serious business!

thanks...for the record, once the grill is out, the chrome outer ring separates from the inner grill. Also of interest, the inner mesh of the 11 (not sure about 09/10) is painted silver anyway, so makes for easy prep and paint. The 04-07 were stainless mesh, so nearly impossible to paint, but i guess you could powder coat.
no kidding...and that goes for the escalade too, that rear plasi-chrome piece is the most out of place looking piece of trim i've ever seen on a car, especially a performance car. Its almost like they wanted to give a throw back to the typical 70yr old's memory of a caddy...
it is amazing what subtle custom touches can do for your ride when thought out. Next on the list is some kind of forged wheels w/ polished lips and black/dark inners. Probably wait to wear out the OEM issue Michelin PS2s...since that won't take but 15k miles or so!
