Default what plugs and wires are everyone using?

I figured while I had my headers in limbo, I should put new plugs and wires in, especially since I broke a plug in half and ripped 3 wires.

They needed replaced anyway.

I was going to put the Delco Platinum plugs in, and these plugs. They're lifetime warranty, they're in stock, and I installed Autolite plugs on my Aurora (which is the most particular car I've ever owned... run the wrong brand of gas in it and it sounds like a sewing machine).

So pretty much what I'm asking is, are these plugs and wires a good deal? They're going to end up costing me about 100 bucks after it's all said and done, plus I get 50 off of 100 on june 10th, and this is just a daily driver/street beater.

If not, what other brands do you guys run?

Moroso Ultra 40's ran strong for a few months, highly recommended

For plugs I've gone with NGK Iridiums, no problems with them other than price.

I don't know which NGks I'm running but its what most everyone else runs.

For wires i'm running the Firecore 50s. No problems with them at all. http://www.shop.gforce1320.com/produ...&categoryId=14

I have NGK Iridium IX TR-55IX. You can get them at the Auto Part store.

TR5IX

Those ones? Advances site says the TR-55IX isn't compatible. True or false?

So those plugs with the autolite pro wires should be OK?

I don't have headers (wish I could), but in looking at the lengths, the wires I use should still work:

Bosch oem replacement and NGK "regular" plugs...~$45 investment total and runs great.

Unless I was running something radical, I wouldn't waste the $$ on any overly expensive wires (and esp plugs unless you want to keep them in longer maybe). I mean, if somebody gave me some really nice wires, I'd certainly use them, but spending the extra $ wouldn't have done anything under the circumstances. We are lucky (LS owners) to have such short wires and individual coils, as far as getting away with not spending so much on wires...On my 'velle (and many of the other cars I've owned), I spent a good amount on my wires but mainly because a) they travel good distance; (b) have a big coil; and (c) I always custom cut my wires with distributor applications, cause I am super **** about routing and not crossing <1/2" gaps (to avoid crossfiring)...

Shop around and get something that is quality, but a good price, too...I got my wires for $30 shipped brand new (auto parts same wire = $50-60, fwiw). When shopping around for wires, keep in mind some of them come with replacement heat shield cylinders (whatever they are called) and some don't, so best bet, moneywise, is to buy a set that does not and just reuse yours.

ngk tr55s, or tr5(same plug but come a different gap out of the box, find the 55s if you can)

also sponsor nastyn8 has a deal going on here in the sponsor sales section for 8 NGK tr55s and a set of custom made MSD wired for $70 shipped. I just installed a set on my ls1 mustang.

I went and got the autolites, and believe it or not, I think they're going to clear the headers perfectly.

So what's the correct order to do this? Plugs, headers, wires, rebuild engine compartment?
