Default codes P0134 P0154 with new pipes?

2007 v ls2. I made fabbed some off road test pipes ( http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...EXHAUST/Detail ) to replace my cats and only used the upper (pre cat sensor) bungs. I installed some Delphi pre-cat o2 sensors (stock is ac delco(but then when you open the box they are Denso)). The delphi's were the correct part number interchange for the car etc. Then I got a Wait4me handheld tuner that effectively turned off the rear o2's.

The problem is that I've been getting trouble codes p0134 (insufficient activity bank1) and p0154(insufficient activity bank 2). I've cleared the codes a couple times but check engine light keeps coming back. Then, I decided to just keep driving and see if the computer relearns itself. Now the check engine light went off but the codes are still there when I hook up the tuner.

What do u guys think? Is the problem the brand of o2 sensors? I actually just bought a pair of stock ac delcos from gmpartshouse.com to swap out and try and fix the problem. But then the light went off. I'm stumped. Thanks

you dont necessarily need a dyno tune if you just got bolt ons. Wont really do much more than a proper street tune with hp tuners or something of the sort. They can clear all the codes. Mine just got cleared yesterday.

Did you cut the o2 sensor wires and extend them to mate to the harness?

Tmontt I didn't have to because I welded the new o2 bungs in the stock location. Everything plugged right in and all wires are the same.

^^^ he is speaking the trufffff. There are both front and rear sensors. If either is missing there will be codes regardless if you plug the exhaust or not until that set of O2's is turned off. Only way to do it is a tune... Granted you can clear the codes with your handheld but it is temporary and does not actually shut the sensors off but just clears your code. Good luck
