Default TVS from 2008 G8 GT

Someone made me an offer of $4500 for a used Magnacharger TVS1900 for my LS2 CTS-V. The kit is off a 2008 G8 GT, which I believe has a L76 engine.

Any idea if this would work without fabricating any new parts? Based on a little research, it seems that I'd have to spend about $1000 on a set of L76 rectangular port heads and offset rocker arms, but other than that, everything looks fairly straightforward.

Not with the stock LS7 clutch slipping every time I try to lay 525 RWHP on the ground.

While I'm at it, any thoughts about whether it's even worth looking at an old Maggie?

Keep in mind that you will also have to source the additional parts to make it work. Also, you will have to get an LS3 waterpump to work with the tensioner.

The G8 belt config is the same, but that is about it. All told, you will probably have twice as much in the used TVS1900 as I will with my E Force 2300 when its done...using 243 cathedral heads.

I'd do a cam change while the heads were off.

All I know is that the eforce fits on ls3 heads. And ls3 heads will fit on an ls2. I kick myself in the *** for not going that route

I'm not even done with my N/A build, and I'll be watching that Eforce thread when you start it DMM.

not so - the e-force can be ordered with Cathedral ports for LS2 heads. You just have to tell them when ordering so they will forge it that way.

The pulley routing on the front of the blower has to be modified or a different water pump has to be used if you want to use the g8 tensioner pulley set up.

243 casting heads (ls6/ls2) are cathedral port, LS3 heads are square.
