Default 2nd gear burnout

well here's a video of a burnout starting off in 2nd gear i made last night. buddy was a bit too close so you couldn't get the full effect of how much smoke there was but i will say the road COMPLETELY disappeared. stock rear, no whine, no wheel hop mods other than a diff bushing and 90k miles.

The whisper at the end is the best. Be quiet...don't wake anybody up after we peel out for 20 seconds lol.

Nice video! What tires?

what's the pedal action on a stunt like this? Rev to ?k rpm, dump clutch, hit brake, feather, hold brake harder, stand on it? Should one leave room to roll out a bit? My V is paid off now so I'm in the mood to break some ****.

I have drifting higher on the list than a burnout... And a real track day even higher than those... I've babied mine for 4+ years but I feel like now it's time to drive the car like it was designed to be driven (burnout excluded... That's just to show the bitch who's boss now)

I owe 5k on this car still n only bought it in may haha. Already put 7k miles on it.

I rev it to about 5500 n dump it then hop on brakes n hold it and play with the throttle. Then off the brakes and floored

I can understand if you are under warranty, but what difference does it make if it's paid off or not?

No payment means more cash for repairs.

I never understood the feathering of the throttle haha, I hold mine at 5k the entire burnout and then roll out with it. Line locks are awesome and cheap btw lol.

Guess im not the only one. My thought is unless I have a 9" rear in my garage waiting to go on, i wouldn't do it...and even then i'd just sell my old dif. Id rather blow my stock rear trying to do a 1/4 rather than burning my tires and the dif for a friends amusement. I've ended up in an offramp ditch for a friends amusement before))). Love the smokeshow just makes my teeth grind...props man

In the V1, a 2nd gear burnout is actually easier on the drivetrain, than a 1st gear burnout. Ask me how I know. ;-)

Lol i find it halarious we are asking questions on how to do a burnout. **** that rear end, if you wanna do a burnout dont be a ***** and do a burnout.

Grip it and rip it yo! lol

p.s. i refuse to do one because i dont wanna buy a new rear. However i will roll out hard if the pavement looks smooth. The gforce axles pretty much straightened **** out on my car ......on perfect pavement.
