the car is throwing no codes, but the DIC is reading service stability system, service steering system, service engine soon & battery saver mode.
Any idea on where to start??
car was running fine and out of the blue today starts chiming in .....

odds are your battery is done, I'd start by replacing it. I just had the same thing happen to me about a month ago, happened on my way to work. I have heard that if you have an aftermarket iPod/ aux hookup, that is has caused similar issues. I would say battery 98%. After you replace your battery, get you alternator tested, just to make sure it all good. There are tools to do it while its in the car.

Do you have headers? If so, check the alt/bat cable. I had similar issues before I burned through my cable, arched and put a hole in my header.

The steering sensor tends to crap out alot too, causes service stability system to display on the nav and go away, without throwing any code, but shows on the ABS section in history, if I recall correctly. You can check that also, once you've excluded fuses and wiring.

FYI the reason your scanner is not picking up any codes is because those are all BCM (body control module) codes. EFI Live scan software will read them and clear them, but again that doesn't help you find the problem just an FYI. Tech two would be able to read them as well.

so check all the ground wires around the headers. all good
had the battery trickle charged to 12v at Autozone. Optima still showed good.
did some load testing on the battery, no problem. when on a long test drive and noticed the volts started dropping. not quick, but after about 30 min. of driving back to 10v range and warnings.
so I concude, it is the alternator.
I will be switching that out, but would like an upgrade. I will at the very lest get a new factory, but I cannnot seem to find an upgraded alternator for this car.
as anybody else had luck??
so the nav is the only thing showing service engine soon. How do I clear that?
Also, could the HOTWIRE kit have put enough extra load on the alternator, that after 90k miles (<7 with hotwire) that was it??
