Default M6

Anyone ever run an M6? Ran into one on the way home today. It was lowered, may or may not have been stock. All I can ever hear is my blower whining.
He was walking ever time we went. I hate that sensation. It makes it seem like there's something wrong with car. (like its slow
If this were 10 years ago I be plotting my next rebuild.

Isn't that the one with the Indy V-10 and 8 speed that rev's to 9500 or something crazy?

Edit: Yup...Indy V-10 de-rated to 500 hp and 7 speed SMG. I'll talk to my buddy at Towson BMW and see what these things are capable of. I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of since they're $100k+ cars from the factory.

It was an F12. Twin turbo V8. I was in 5th the first time and got destroyed. When I finally caught up and put it in 4th, He got the break (I was behind him) and he was walking hard.
Was going to go one more time, but the radar detector pinned. I got in the slow lane got off at the next exit

Losing sucks...i think a better race for you would be 3rd gear at 60mph. We have 2 M5's up my way, V10's and I pull on them. I would guess the M6 is another animal tho.

Either way man, that's damn good company to run with. Twin turbo V8 or V10 is not shabby company to be running with. In my experience, if the car is lowered, the owner has usually done additional mods to make it faster.

Like I said, I wouldn't be ashamed!

At what speeds were you in 5th and 4th? 130 and 90? I can't see being at any other speed with stock gears.

Normally the way I roll on stock gears is 20 in 1st, 40-45 2nd, 60-65 3rd... and I don't roll higher then 65, but if I had to... I'd be 90 in 4th and 130 in 5th.

Both runs were bad places in the gear range. Not sure what speed. The first run he was sizing me up, checking out the hood. I started rolling into the throttle in fifth. We were coming up the 15 past the stadium. It' a down hill right hander that bottoms out and turns into a up hill left hander. Fouth into fifth would have be dicey. As it was I got a twitch out of the back end after the transition. (he was planted) The QA1's needed to be up at least one more notch for that turn at speed.

Second run was to fast for 3rd. I would have ran right up on the limiter. Then he was waiting for me up ahead when the radar detector pinned.

Live to fight another day.

I hate loosing. I'll probably never see that guy again.

100 shot after the rebuild this year.
