Default High Pitched whine

Well gentlemen as we all know the V's have more quirks than elton john. I have a whine that I cannot pin down, it starts around 4th gear in the 45-50mph area and continues through 5-6 at highway speeds. The clincher is that after about 20 minutes running at consistent speeds on the highway with cruise it goes away. Can't for the life of me pin it down, Brand new DS, Axles, complete CS 8.8 kit, just swapped both the rear hubs with moog replacements, reassembled the ebrake to make sure they weren't missaligned, nothings rubbing, and I'm out of ideas. This has been going on since I bought the car, I thought it was the stock diff which is gone now, new hubs, no contact or rubbing from the tires. I'm kerfluddled if anyone has any insight or thoughts I would appreciate it, tell me where this gremlin might live and I will hunt it down and kill it (possibly have it wall mounted). Thanks folks.

^^^ That or an accessory drive.

Is it proportional to engine speed or vehicle speed?

Thought about this, but they're new with less than a thousand miles on them. I would hate to think they're gone already.

Thought about this too, had a bad tensioner pulley and I swapped it out. The noise seems to be coming from the rear half of the car.

You sure? When I had my DS bearing go, it sounded like it was in the front wheel to me. I was about to change the front hubs, but luckily was steered toward the DS by a fellow forum member. Ride with some others in the car to determine if the sound is heard consistently in the same place.

Since you have new ds and carrier and it didnt change anything. Throw out bearing my buddy had one that was going bad would randomly whistle/howl usually while cruising. Or could be your tires.

Throw out bearing might be a culprit, even though it's less than a year old with right around 7k on it. Tires are a negatory, just threw brand new meats on a week ago.

Isn't that the truth, my reasons for thinking this wasn't the new parts was that it has been constant since I owned the car, none of the parts or work I've done has changed it.
