cool man. I'll come back with pics. I was hesitant as it's not cheap and mine seems to be in good working order. But honestly I'd hate to wait so long that they are not available anymore.

Detailed it, then cleaned out half the garage (read: moved everything either on top of, or underneath the Saturn) so I can finally park it in there, after having lived in the house for 6 months

Just a question, but why did you not leave the Saturn outside for those 6 months instead of the V?

Because it's fuckered. I've been wrenching on it grudgingly for that time. It's cyl head is done this week so I can finally put it back together and shunt it outside where it should be.

Warped head? Saturns are pure trash. Had several saturns do the same thing.

Yeah, head gasket. My wife drove it with a leaky HG for 100k miles, it finally went pop a few months ago. It's got 200k miles of neglect and runs with virtually no oil or coolant, so I respect the little bastard

Hah. I've had two cars that were the same way. I basically drove them until they wouldn't drive anymore. No point in dumping money into a 20 yr old car that has 250k+ miles and is worth under a grand. Just my opinion.

I kind of want to find another "gem" so I can have more money for go fast parts.

224 is normal. I'm not sure but I think the high fan doesn't kick on until 224 or even a little higher.

The only way to keep it lower than that is to program the fans to come on earlier in the tune. I hope you didn't replace the radiator thinking that it was bad because it got that hot...

Ah. I see. Ive read thread on that subject, ill look I to it when I get a thermostat installed. Just anything over 220 gets me edgy.

I changed out the brake/clutch/diff fluids. The motive power bleeder was a bit frustrating to use at first but I've got the hang of it now. Uses lots of excess fluid, and don't pressure test at 10psi if you're gonna pump it to 20psi with fluid in it. That was fun. Also, the bleeder on my clutch slave wouldn't let any fluid out at all so it came out the base and ran out the bottom of the bellhousing. But at least when it stopped dripping, it was clear and not brown. Guess I'll be needing a new clutch before too long, huh?

Then when I put the front wheels back on and tried to torque them down, the aluminum lugs spun the threads right out. The tire shop must've used the impact on them even though I specifically told them not to. I've never felt good about aluminum lugs anyway so I ordered a set of steel ones. Just gonna put my snow tires on the front till they come in.

So that all went well.
