Any update on what options exist for the car's rear? and prices (not so much theory prices, but more realistic) ?
Viper D44?
SVT 8.8 IRS?
Solid 9?

I'm digging the prices that these cars are now going for.

Some guy is selling one in this section for $20,000. It must be a piece of crap if he's trying that hard to get rid of it.

It looks nice. Silver with headers and stuff. Who knows? You just can't trust people anymore.

Well, I don't mean to be mean about the prices.

But I've always wanted a 4 door sedan with 6 speed manual, race seats, uber horsepower.

Only thing holding me back is the puny diff in the V

I know... its just said you can buy a car that was over $52,000 new and three years later, its not even worth half of that. I shoulda kept my vette.

I agree. My V has 33K miles and only minimal whine in 4th gear - I'm still on the original rear end. There is a difference between driving a car hard and abusing it.

Congrats !!!!

May I suggest a new thread announcing the completion of your rear with a detailed explanation of how it works to remedy the factory shortcomings along with a review of all the parts and specs ????

Thank you for providing the rear that SHOULD have came from GM in the FIRST PLACE.

1. Post in ENGLISH. We don't speak Ebonics.

2. Your "project" Caddy looks like it was built by Sanford and Son.

Are the 2009 CTS-V diffs available yet?

what about ordering a G8 diff? I think they're about $1600 shipped.
