Default Thinking about an higher mileage V

I have been looking online and you can find some high mileage Vs for high 10's low 20's and have been thinking about getting one and dropping an LS7 into it, and tricking it out all the way. I want the new V, but would rather wait till they cost 20 thousand less in two to three years (after release). What do you guys think. New V or and 05 with and suped up LS7?

the new one doesnt seem as RAW. I like RAW. I would do a big cam big cube ls7 with some spray, fully built rear and a classy exterior. But thats just me.

I like a car with a little personality to it. A custom built 05 with big cubes would be better, IMO. I must say, the new interior looks **** hot, though.

I wonder if the interior would swap. probably not practical but as I see it that and the issues witht the rear are the only negative on the vee ok maybe the shifter is rubbery but so are most cars. I can't imagine buying a vee in 05 for i think sticker was close to 50K??? and getting such a crummy interior. Of course the old vette interiors kinda sucked as well. My buddies 25k Vdub Passat had a way better interior package. I will say that caddy definatley steped up on the new one. That interior looks bad a$$ that being said what you would save on an older vee insead of buying a new one you could do some seriousley sick mods just my 2 cents

I wondering whether I should wait till some inital test drives come out for the 09's. I saw a peral white 08 cts with some chrome rims. Dam that thing looked outstanding and the interior photos look just as good with those ricarto seats and the pop nav but I'm not sure I'm willing to take a $15-20K depreciation within a year. I know what I'm in for with an 05' but with an 09' I think I would be in for a few shocks.

I agree that getting the better interior with all the new options with iPod and harddrive you gotta go with the new one

I love the new caddy but all the reviews say that its much softer than the old CTS-V. I have to agree with the above statements I like the raw power. As for the interior.. eh not like the old interior looks like crap I happen to love it. The new gauges are not my favorite thing in the world I can honestly say that.

I really don't think Caddy did a good job with the new V's styling. The older ones look much much better.

I have never seen a V under $20K(running and driving), unless it was smashed or blowen motor in it . In that case I'v seen them down to $13k.

Well a blown engine wouldent matter since I'm thinking of throwing a 427 in it and you can look on Autotrader and find them for low $20's now, once the '09's come out I'm sure they are going to drop even lower.
