yikes, is that the same kit that goes for ~5700 at most other places (lingenfelter excluded, of course)? seems like your prices should almost include the installation/tune.

He is offering a polished maggie kit - you can't get those for $5700. The best I've seen for a polished maggie is $6650 I think.

$1000 for the install and $500 for a tune is pretty standard.

oh definitely standard, no argument here...but for the polished he is charging $7710, not $6650 - that's for the regular "silver" maggie!

I would assume the place I bought mine for $5,749 still made a profit. I know for a fact he didn't lose money on the deal.

i have no clue what maggie makes, (logically 100% markup or its not woth making) i was refering to the retailor who sells the s/c to the general public. so 400-600 for a phone call and invoice is well worth the 3 mins it takes to put in the order. i would rather sell $5,800 s/c's all day, that a set of spark plugs...catch my drift. =]

$500 for a dropshipped S/C is more than fair. i was thinking you thought ,maggie was only making $500 :o

lol...you definitely are missing the point.

he can offer a great kit (which he is) that is no hassle at any price he'd like...however, it's ABSURD to claim it to be a "special price" and to proclaim it to be a "savings" of $600, when it is in fact a complete ripoff.

You can get the full standard magnacharger kit for $5700, or the full polished kit (which is what he's offering) for $6600.

Magnuson claims a labor time of 7-8 hours I believe for the install, which should not be more than $1000.

Standard price for even a FI tune is about $500.

I figure $8100 would be a standard price for polished kit installed and tuned, and a shop that was giving a deal (tuning for free) should come in at about $7600 for the whole kit installed.

At $9200, that's not even within average price, let alone a "deal."
