Try usiing about 4 Liters of Methyl Hydrate to a half tank of gas. Then immediately after testing fill up your tank with new gas to dilute it back to more normal levels for driving.

You can get it at CT in the interior paint section. They sell a 4 Liter jug for about $8.00

Great to hear everything worked out. Can you verify how much Methyl Hydrate you used and how much gas you had in the tank. This would help out any future members in figuring what the dilution was that worked.
Enjoy the ride..it makes it feel that more special after going through this!
As for the beer offer..I hope to take you up on it one day

To save yourself in future, you can run idle as high as 1200 rpm, which is ALL I do to pass on my car. I had the same cam and passed off 3 year old plugs, 5 year old wires and sitting on a 1/2 tank of gas for 1 month in dead of winter while I swapped master cylinders.

Always give the car a good drive of a 1-2 hr prior to cycle out old gas and heat up and burn up cats.
