Sure does, the Map setting can be used to pull timing under boost, pretty bad *** huh?

Yea, the little 6010 does **** the small blocks ony with they could for 310$, LOL.

its a little tricky setting it up but once you figure it out it works good.

Here is the engine i scored today, 2008, 5.3, 243 heads(that are going on my 89 RS), this will get 317 heads, engine looks great and is supposed to have 20K miles on it.

Score for 400$

yup, pulls timing just like those old msd timing boost control box. its all in included in the ls ignition controllers. even 2step and such

nice score on that 5.3

Yea, thanks to you. Was lucky they had one with the good heads left too.

What map sensor do you use anyway? 3 bar? 2? Just trying to figure out which one i will be getting.

im thinking ur gonna need a fi cobalt 3bar map sensor.
cant remember right now. i think an ls2 gto/c6 sensor work or even gen4 trucks.

you can use any 2-3bar map sensor. i talk to msd about it and just bought one from summit. you might have to redo the connector but it will work just make sure you wire it the same 1 2 3.

im lookin into the ls9 map sensor, makes the most sense for use for forced induction. imo ifit works correct with the 6012 box. im gonna need it also for my build, since its also 58x with forced induction

Alright, heads came out of the shop today, they had to go .010 just to clean them up, but it looks like a 7.4 PR should still the the ticket. Installed the heads and oil pan, strapped everything down, cannot install my intake because it is in the 95 Z28 we swapped the 6.0 into and my 1 inch set back adapter plates are as well, so i need to order another set of those so i can start the install.
