Alright, i was looking for pushrods new or used locally so i could go ahead and try to get thing thing running with not much luck so i got impatient and ordered a set of trick flow pushrods and i tell you one thing, next day air doesnt fool around, they were here yesterday by 11 AM and i ordered them the morning before. Good to know if i need something fast it will happen.

But, i now lack some fuel line, install a regulator and pressure gauge, fill it up with coolant and trans fluid, wire in the fan the way i like, power and ground the ignition controller, install the tach and i think i will be in business, then i can get insurance back on it and get it dropped off for the exhaust work. Looks damn near finished, need to check for leaks after it runs of course but i thunk the 10 bolt is in for a shock, LOL.

After i get it running i will then go ahead and install the sub frames, LCAs, panhard and TQ arm, then i will probably drop it off for exhaust.

Well, it lives, it fired up with no chip, then i killed it and it wouldnt fire, so i stabbed #6 in and it fired up again, cannot wait on exhaust, she cams pretty good, need to install the temp gauge tomorrow but oil pressure was steady 55 pounbds and the throttle is snappy for no real tune for the most part. Video soon.

What oil pump and spring assy. are you using. I am building a LY6 and am planing on using the stock oil pump and spring, and am wondering what my oil pressure will be like, or if I should use a differant spring? I also agree, for some reason, your builds do have a way of motivating me also, lol. Out to the garage we go. Eric L

I am running the stock pump and i shimmed the spring .020 to get some extra pressure out of it, So far 50 or 45 at idle what little run time i have.

Glad to see i motivate folks with my soys, if it is one thing it is a passion to play with these engines.

UPDATE, cam sensor failure code so i need to replace it so it i can see how it runs. Also need to fine tune the carb, i did throw a base line tune on the 6012. I was wondering why the hell it would some times start and not.

Ive heard of a lot of people having that problem. I wonder if theres a problem between the sensor and the 6012 box, or if its just a problem with the factory cam sensors? Eric L
