Default LSX foxbody??

Ok I have a 2000 Z28. Car made 426RWHP with the current engine before the 12bolt addition. So I figure now its probably around 410RWHP. Im thinking about parting the camaro out and putting the motor carb into a light fox I have. Question is how much power does a LQ4 with some milled ls6 heads and cam make VS. my engine now?? Just sell car like it is running and driving, and build budget 6.0, or part camaro out and keep LS1 and use it carbed?

I think there is a thread in the carb forum somewhere where a guy put a stock LQ4 into a race weight fox and ran 10s. Maybe somebody will remember the thread.

Yeah Im sure thats very possible. What im wondering is will a 6.0 with carbed intake and custom cam with shaved heads have more power than my current LS6 longblock with custom cam it made 426 threw a 4l60E.

Well all things will be equal with the exception of larger displacement and a custom cam. So, I would think that it will all be about how well chosen the custom cam is for your application.

It will make more power. Just as stated, you need the right cam profile. The bigger bore will also help the heads to flow better plus I've seen carb'd motors with lite mods pick up 20/25 hp taking the same engine and switching it to a carb.

Thinking about just keeping the LS6 maybe little port work to the 243s and carb it and put a glide in and ride
