Default Stock lq6 carb dyno

Hi guys and girls. I just got my truck dyno and wanted to see what you guys think. Its a 91 s10 with a bone stock lq9 with a 750 hp and stock 700r4 with a shift kit. The rear has 342 gears. The truck made 345 whp at 5500 rpm and 370 ftp at 3300. Just wanted to know if that is about average or not thanks. Stock converter and edelbrock/msd timing controller with the pills.

Very very nice, with a set of full length headers and a actual adjustable timing box and custom timing curve, there is plenty left in it, not to mention, is the carb tuned spot on?

My 2001 3/4 ton with lq4 dyno tuned with cat back, modded air box with k&n through a 4l80 and 14 bolt made 292 rwhp. You have. Ore left in that engine with a few other parts swapped and a tune if you want more. I say you are making above the norm slightly for small headers and not having a spot on timing curve.

Yes the a/f was at 13.0 12.9 at wot. I would like to do a small cam. Maybe the hot cam or 224r something like that.

Would the fully programmable msd make that much difference for timing.

msd 6010,hook up the laptop and change the timing to what you need, don't forget to pull the pill out before you shut it down or it will boot up to the pill thats in it and you will have to start all over again,
345 rwhp is excellent for what you have,my guess is your tune is getting very close to where you will settle, remember small reversible changes towards a great tune, choose carb or timing first then grow from there, too many people go backwards and waste time by getting ahead of themselves, personally i go afr first then start the timing bumps, all in all you are way ahead of most with those great numbers, wow,,,

yes one with about the same specs,gm tested and mother approved, its a great all around cam and will respond very well if you decide to hit with a bottle down the road, its a proven performer with a smooth idle and one of the better factory grinds,204/218 duration @.050, .551/.547" gross valve lift, 117 LSA.this cam profile or thereabouts is made for most of the ls family of motors and everybody has their version/copy of it,

I say a hot cam, will give it a nice idle and bump power and the power band. Bringing rpm over 6000, they can be had new for 300ish if I remember correct.

Yeah it's a toss up. Both of need a valve spring upgrade. I guess it come down witch one is cheaper. Down the road I plan on hitting it with 150 to play with some guys on the street lol. Do you have to change pushrods with either cam?

Can't you use the z06 valve springs on the hot cam? If so they are only like 60 bucks New from your dealer. Someone else will have to chime in to verify tho.

It doesn't have too much, just won't be an extremely large power gain. But it will boost his power some and still pull lots of vacuum and idle good.

Oh and plus he wouldn't have to invest in A stall converter. Saves him some money there.
