Didn't think this warranted starting a new thread. But would you guys use this aftermarket front crank seal?

It looks a little nasty up close and isn't quite perfectly round in the centre. It is marked as 'Jago' and it may have come out of a victor reinz gasket kit. Could be fine but never fitted one of these previously.

pass. get a national or felpro seal. the balancer is too much of a pain to pull off and put back on over a 10 dollar part.

I have not tried that particular seal, but there has been many parts over the years that I have refused to use just because they did not look up to par.

Yeah I ended up deciding to order a bunch of stuff from Summit, including an OE seal.

Great minds think alike, so they say.

Yes. 200-4R with a Circle D 4c stall converter that flashes to roughly 4000 n/a. The d/a barely crept into the negatives at the end of the night. about -90. It was about 57-58 degrees.

Congrats on continuing to improve! I'm getting close to calling Circle D about a new converter for my Camaro. I'm looking for something a little tighter for nitrous passes with the added benefit of being a little more street-driver friendly as well. I was concerned about losing some in the 60' on the motor but your car out 60's mine on the motor with your 9.5inch 4000 stall. Of course I'm probably wasting a lot of energy with all the upward motion. Congrats again!

Thanx guys. I really do enjoy tweaking and measuring. The car is really fun these days. It feel really strong all the time now.

I tried spraying the car the other day and it was blowing through the converter pretty bad. The shift light just stays one when on the juice. I have been reading about guys using 20w hydraulic oil to tighten the converter, so I will probably try that next.

Oh man.....I really didn't want to hear that! I just ordered the same converter today! That wasn't the first time you sprayed the Circle D was it? What were you hitting it with?

I sure Chris hasn't built it yet. Did you tell him you were focussed on spray? What trans you have?

I hit mine with an 81n jet tune. It could not take it. I think it makes more power on spray with the new cam.

Chris wasn't around when I calledtoday...I talked to another guy....Brian maybe? But yeah, the conversation was centered around an e-mail chain I had with Chris a while back and I had told him I'm looking to spray 200-250. I don't know that my converter will be exactly like yours (besides being for a TH400) but Chris spec'd a Pro Series Stage III 245mm 3C 4000 stall in his email so that's what the guy sold me today.

I would confirm with Chris, but that might be okay. TH400 has higher line pressures feeding the converter which can affect stall. Also, the 3c is a bit tighter than my 4c.
