We were gone for 10 days on a mini vacation in Taos. So the car was on hold.

My factory brakes backing plates needed the axle hole bored and a few other things to fit the new S60's larger wheel bearings. I have one side installed and have to assemble the driver's side yet and adjust them. Then I have to make new brake lines and create a bracket to mount the t-fitting for the brake line. Just time consuming.

Took the car out on its maiden voyage with the S60. It is quiet as a mouse. Very nice.

It was mostly a bolt in. Had to shorten the driveshaft, bore out the brake backing plates, make new brake lines and fabricate a brake line t-fitting bracket.

The 35 spline axles and 5/8" drive studs are serious looking.

So far, I am thrilled with it. Once it is broken in, we will see how it likes nitrous.

I know the 35's are huge compared to the stockers...but you went to 5/8" studs too...I think that rear is "pro-mod" ready

My 8.8 is a whiny little beotch. But they were used gears and they are motive. So two things that made me know ahead of time that they would whine. Only while cruising. Decel and accel are fine.

Sounds great on shifts but like you are leaving from a traffic light off the line?!

How much heat did you get into the tires?

MT Drag Radials...
I tried just spinning until I seen smoke to full John Force style.

There were a few the were hooking, but wide *** slicks and/or MT Pro's.

I need to play with shocks next time out.

So you have already picked up some decent MPH??

With the rear shocks are they a rebound only adjustment type deal?

The new MT bracket radials might be worth a look at if the track is ordinary.

Post up the time slips.

A couple other things:
*There is a date code on the tires. Find that and see how old they are.
*Super loose shock settings are typically for slower cars as are the old 90/10 shocks. Faster cars more often like tighter shock settings. My car likes the rear shocks 2/3 of the way to full tight on the extension to work best. My front shocks are full tight on the extension. So, try some tighter settings on your rear shocks and see if it likes it. Also, you might get some fully adjustable front shocks and try tighter settings.
