Makes me sick looking at that. Tired of chasing this god damn vibration from the 8.8 swap. And that drive shaft reminds me of it. Running out of ideas before I say F it and throw the piece of **** 7.5 back in it.

I wasn't planning on painting it. Hopefully it will stay looking nice.

Some things that have caused vibrations for me:
Bent pinion yoke
Twisted trans slip yoke
Pinion angle.

Sometimes you can jack the rear of the car up and put the axle tubes on jack stands. Start Adding weight to the drive shaft with hose clamps in different clock positions until you reduce or eliminate the vibration.

Also, check the runout.

Literally picked the DS up from fresh balance with new U joints yesterday.

Been doing a ton of digging. One guy said his vibration went away at -0.5 pinion angle and one guy said he had to go -4.5.

I'm at -2.5, and it was at -1.0, so I'll throw more at it and keep messing with it. Really pissing me off.

Threw some more pinion angle at it. Seems to help a touch but far from fixed. Headed to swap the flange to the original aluminum DS.

Yup, researching the issue found a couple others that after balancing, threw a friends DS in and issue was gone.

Took the car up on the highway the other night and remembered how nice my 3.42's were. I decided to re gear my
New rear again before I even put it in. Took the 3.73's out and put a lightened richmond 3.55 gear set in. Waiting for my trick chassis control arms to show up and she should be in the car.

Eh, I didn't really want to but I wasn't going to be happy until it was done. I never even really wanted take my 3.42s out but they don't make anything closer in a ford ratio
