How do they handle power....hear/read conflicting results.

Also in the market for a trans since mine is slipping going into drive (th350) under full power.
Looking at a full manual th350 or a full manual 700R right now.

BUT....if an 80 or 85 will work/fit/some to no mods....may look at also.
A 80 is like a TH400 with over drive. Only down side I have found is the stock to mild builds can roll the sprag shifting above 7000. As well as the fact they are a fat girl. 220 lbs I think? I usually have to beat the trans tunnel a bit to make them fit.

If you don't need I've drive, a 400 is th ticket.

I drive my cars everywhere and they are as street as it gets. Ovr drive is a must for me.

There are a lot of these with a shift kit only holding 800 HP.

WOW.... one thing I can say I didn't break yet.
I had a B&M 3000 go out on me as well as a GER 2500 (I know, young and dumb) ....was like a true stall....3-4000 just to start moving. All the fins/vanes either broke or flattened out.

And that was on the way back from the truck scales. It was 3200 lbs without me in the seat. Heavy pile.

Here is before with the 12" dynomax mufflers that were welded right on the headers:

And this is after removing those and installing the X pipe and widowmaker black widow mufflers.

Very pleased with the sound when cruising and in the throttle. Was time for a change from my usual 6" bullets I normally run.

gotta say...i like the bullets. the widow mufflers do have a good muscle sound to them though.

i think a lot of that sound came from the x-pipe. i don't care for chambered mufflers in general. they tend to suck hp away.

dual 3" is overkill for a 5.3, so i doubt that chambered muffler is hurting anything.

Hell Matt, I don't even know if I classify these as chambered. What is your opinion? If it was a regular square muffler they wouldn't be on my car, lol.

keep in mind exhaust flows like water does around a pipe, around the inside wall, not like you're sending golfballs through it. so yeah, i see the exhaust crashing into the walls inside there and causing velocity issues. who knows though.

I would say there is some turbulence generated at some point. Nothing this **** box engine should worry about I don't think.

Would have been cool to see you. As much as you are moving around, I'm sure we will get another chance.

I do not have a pipe bender. Also, the lift I have is a 2 post. You need a 4 post to leave the suspension loaded level to know where everything will sit.
