Love it man. I trued to do a very similar build to my SS when i was 18 but the kid came and now im 25 and got everything inordered over the last few months and im starting mine next weekend. Dont really have the time to do the detail you have displayed in yours with the paint and cleaning up but if i did i would shoot for it to be as nice as you have made it. Me and dad still do the car stuff like you and yours do and thats prolly what i enjoy most. Keep us updated its sweet

Awesome job my friend. This reminds me of when I was 17. Except I had a '91 RS with a boat anchor motor. I wish I would have kept it, but life comes and with it is a mortgage and other bills.
Hold on to that car for when you have kids...I know that will be a long time from now but that is something you can never get back. Again, awesome car.
BTW, what "cat-back" are you using?

02 T/A Build
I know its been along time since my son last posted on his 02 Z/28 build since he is now in college. but he's at it again with a 02 T/A built. he's basically doing the same build as his Z/28, but with a complete rebuild of the motor. painted the engine bay Atomic Orange, but the picture does it no justice as it just pops in the sun light. I'm sure he'll start a 02 T/A build thread.

Similar situation with my 16 year old son who loves drag racing too. He worked the tower during the summer at South Mountain Raceway in Boiling Springs PA. My close friend purchased the 1/8 mile strip in June 2014.
Engine compartment came out great! Did you use single stage or base coat/clear coat paint?

amazing build man i love it!! i also would like to add it must be an amazing feeling that u and ur dad can share ur love of cars together. I am 19 and i am starting a build on my 02 ss and on my truck (383 stroker), and my dad is having financial troubles and doesn't have time to help me, so i have had to self learn everything on cars so far. So cherish that u and ur dad can share the hobby (i know u do), it must be an amazing feeling. keep up the good work, and u must have a very proud father as well!

I'm the PROUD father of Austin95. Austin did most of the work on his build, I just helped him with technical advice. He funded his build 100% on his own by mostly parting out f-body's. if you need any help with your build we would be glad to help.
