I also cut the dash out for the double DIN and am working on getting all of the wiring/accessories together. I have a ton of connections at the radio for the various functions, i.e. XM, RCA's, GPS, Mic, Cameras, USB inputs, etc.

Last night I installed the new head unit, kind of a pain to get everything hooked up in the dash and then get the unit mounted/spaced out correctly, but its good now.

Pulled the intake manifold due to it leaking both oil and vacuum. I have everything cleaned up for reinstallation, just need to get some time to put it all back together.

Just ordered tires for the car, going to have to run the salad shooters for awhile until I can afford the big wheels/rubber. I went with the BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2, 245/50/16's, should be good enough for the short term.

The tires came in, Im taking the wheels over today to get them mounted, cant wait to have it sitting on new rubber. I also worked on the alarm setup yesterday, I used the piece of sheetmetal from the trap door mod to make a moutning bracket. Free, damn near the perfect side and already painted to match. Ha Ha

I bent the plate to create a shelf, applied some sound deadener and wrapped it with door edge gaurd to protect the wiring and my fingers.

I picked up the wheels/tires last night and put the fronts on to see how they look. These should do for now, I hear they are good tires.

Working on removing the stock exhaust system and prepping the new cat back for installation. I decided to paint the system to help with rust/corrosion since its not SS.

Well, first of all...you're going to be able to sleep like a baby while driving that thing due to all of the sound deadner. There will be nothing to keep you awake...apart from the massive stereo setup. LOL

Seriously though...awesome job on the project so far. I enjoyed going through your thread with all of the updates. Awesome attention to detail and made me think of things to do for my project and such. Very cool indeed. Nice job man. I can't wait to see the rest of it come to life.

Also very cool to see you take interest and save the car from the ultimate death of just rotting.
