you must be a ford fan. opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one, and yours stinks. even if chevy WAS trying to be like ford, they did a hell of a lot better job.

Thoughs 2 cars are totally different. I mean, I see how you could think they were similar, but its like - 2 doors, 4 wheels, Front engine , rear drive- Theres only so many ways they can be different. And anyways, thoughs cars are dimensionally very different- even if they look similar they are differnt size cars.

The nose on the Camaro is slanted back and sharper, the door cut lines are angular on the Chevy, whereas they are straight on the Stang. The wheel arches are twice as large on the GT concept than they are on the Camaro, but both have them - yes. The Mustang has NO rear passenger windows, the Camaro does. The Camaro has a flat roof, the Mustang's is rounded. Lastly, and I will say this one last time: The Camaro is a cutting edge design with fresh ideas and is an INTERPRETATION of the '69 Camaro, the Mustang is a COPY of the '69/70 Mustang and is not revolutionary or new to me. I have seen both the Mustang and The Camaro Concept in person and can tell you that the Mustang looks nowhere near as good as the Camaro does. The Camaro is wider, meaner, more angular and it is a NEW design, not a re-hashed product from the archeives like the Ford Mustang and the Ford GT. Both are just updated OLD designs. The Camaro is new, bold, and exciting. First car in years that made me grab for my wallet with the "got to have it" factor. The Dodge Challenger is the same as the Mustang to me - old design updated for the year 2006. It will look old fast. Still cool though - even the Mustang is cool - I won't buy either of them, as the Camaro will be in my garage.

Ever seen a Honda Accord 4 door parked next to a E36 BMW. Trunk, roof, hood profile is virtually exact.

I agree with toesuf94, the body lines on the Camaro are quite different from the lines of the Mustang, and the Camaro is not a rip off of an old version. It has subtle cues of a '69 Camaro like in the quarter panel and a little in the front, but it is mostly a whole new design unlike the Mustang that is like a snapshot of the '65 Mustang but rounded out.

No kidding..Don't mean to flame but...you must have some pretty shitty taste not to like the design of the new Camaro!

You must be banging that dumb bitch Natalie Neff that wrote the article in AutoWeek! when she spoke about how she had checked the forums her exact words were:

“It looked like a bad Hot Wheels car”; “a bit too much Batman for my taste, but a definite improvement over the Mustang”; “the best thing that GM can do with this mess is to start all over. They would do better by copying another one of Chrysler’s cars like they did with the HHR.”

These were the responses she said she found on forums, typical media BS how they want to put a negative spin on what 5 out 5,000 people think! sorry x Pitch Black x but your one of the 5...

Just doesn't look like a real car to me still.

I like the 1st gen look on both the stang and the camaro. I love the look of the new mustang. The camaro just missed it as far as I feel.

It'll be one badass ride but I just really think with how the first gen looked it doesnt look good modernized.

Not a bad looking car I'd say 6-7 scale out of 10 but really just didn't slide into our time line as well.

The first generation Camaro, and the first generation Mustang kinda looked similar. I mean, im only 19 so i cant remember when they came out, but they kinda took the same styling cues from their older counterparts. thats probly why people think they look similar. Ya know what? Challenger, Camaro, Mustang... i like em all! I wasnt around for the first muscle car craze, but im damn sure glad that im around for this one! ...theyre faster now, too!

unzfeat'd is right . . . i'm only 22 and i could drive legally when the 4th gens were new. i looked at pics of the first gens of the camaro mustang and the challenger and they all somewhat looked alike then, who cares if some people think they look alike now. THE CAMARO ALONG WITH THE VETTE WILL RULE THE ROAD AGAIN!!!!

No, Im not a Ford fan. I just thought the vid was funny. Atleast the Camaro doesn't look like it was designed by a bunch of fishermen like the last one.

I really like the new design... as far as the similarities w/ the mustang people said the same thing about the C6 and the Viper. Bottom line is that all cars of similar genres look some what alike ... Thats just the way it is.

"Down right pathetic on Chevy's part"

the camaro was similar to the mustang back in '67. Naturally, retro versions would look SIMILAR. It's all camaro. study your '67's and '69's, then look at the concept's lines. if you're still confused, maybe you should stick to the mustang. or maybe a kia.
