F-bodies are technically GTs. and "Pony" cars.

Muscle Cars = Chevelle, Impala SS, Charger, etc. .. Full=size 2 and 4-doors
Sports Cars = Corvette, Viper ... 2-seaters

I voted muscle because it's the closest thing to a muscle car on the road today. I think the WS6 looks more muscle car like than the SS.

I don't think any of the 4th gen f-bodies look like muscle cars. Granted the WS6 look like they pack alot of muscle. But I think of them as being more sporty, and the muscle part comes later down the rode!

i hate that anyone calls a camaro a pony, madye desined to beat a pony . but thats such a term.who comes up with these names anyway.. pony..... so i vote muscle or sport/muscle. new term needs to be made for these cars. something that doesnt involve a horse of all things.

It's called a pony car because it was made to compete with the Mustang. The mid size muscle coupes have been called pony cars for decades.

Hey guys !!
We're Lucky to have the best of Both Worlds....
Doesn't really matter if it's Z-28 , SS, Trans AM WS6 or what !!
Sports car; looks, styling, braking, handling w wide stance & oh My God LS1
Muscle car; can be modded to run like the wind & look spectacular doing it..

So it doesn't matter if it's Sport or Muscle, they are the BEST F-Bodys GM has to this point ever Built..

And if you own one; "THEN YOUR DAMMNED LUCK MY FRIEND"

What i heard guys with newer V6 Camaros, V6 Mustangs, imports with 160+hp stock pay sports cars insurance in California but I guess by defenition it's not a sports car. Alot of ricers would label a 4th gen a muscle car without a doubt. Speaking for the changing times no matter how a car looks the V8 rwd 4-seats and design gives you the feeling that its definately a muscle car. For instance, alot of people complain that the 04 GTO dosnt look agressive "enough", now theres a car to question but without a doubt its definately a muscle car, thats why people complain about the appearance. So for all of you that voted a Z28 as a sports car, do you believe that muscle cars died a long time ago? If you passed a camaro meet and saw only 4th gens you believe thats not a muscle car meet? I can't imagine Camaros and Mustangs getting rejected or laughed at in muscle car meets for being out of place. The votes say it all, it looks like a muscle car for 93 to 02 and is one. It's up to you what you want it to be, you can turn it into whatever but its still a muscle car. Forgive the long writeup.

The clunky-ness of the F-body make a muscle car.

I know people that know close to nothing about cars that believe camaros, firebirds and mustangs are muscle cars and look like muscle cars. They are definately all over muscle car magazines for years now and carry a muscle car image. Im assuming the original poster wanted to find out on what people thought about f-bods and I think theres nothing to really debate over.
