Default I hate my steering wheel

It's horrid to say the least. I don't see why in the world this style of wheel was kept for soooooo long. I would love to change it out for a new one, but they are hard to come by and it doesn't look like it would be too easy to change out.

Me too, I also do not like my steering wheel. I plan on replacing it some time in the future.

Look into the following post on how to get started on replacing the stock wheel and getting around the air bag. https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/487716-steering-wheel-question.html

That's some good info! The only problem is I want to keep my airbag and all of that good stuff for insurance purposes.

True, but I would rather keep the airbag as a personal preference

That's a shame your steering wheel just called me and said such nice things about you

I've read that link and it sounds like a good idea to go with that.

That is an issue that some people have when removing the air bag. What I would do is replace the steering wheel and when the insurance people need to look at the car, put the air bag steering wheel back in.

I plan to replace my stock seat belts with four or five point harnesses. That probably won't help with the insurance company issue, but it will help on the safety issue once the air bag is gone. The original airbag steering wheel can always be placed back into the car and in working order.
