I'm pretty sure there is no way to make the stock Mustang stuff work, at least I haven't seen anyone do it...
I've seen some guys use F Body clusters, just depends on the look you want.

I'm pretty sure I read a thread on here that said you could use the factory gauges. I believe you then have to retain the stock Ford computer.
I have also seen a complete dash setup w/ Autometer gauges used. I'm pretty sure it was a kit not peiced together. That was for a foxbody.
Mine is an 01 and I plan on using the factory setup, going for the sleeper look.

what type of mods do you have to make to the dash of the foxbody for them to fit properly? will it look like a factory dash?

Isn't your car a 99up car? If so, MC Machine doesn't offer a gauge plate for your car. I have a 2000 that I just finished and for it I plan on running the Fbody cluster. Everything works as mentioned above and if you are in a state where they only scan for codes at the smog station then you will be happy to still have an "oem" check engine light in the dash that works. If it's a 93 or older then I would also highly recommend the MC Machine dash. He is local here and his products flat clown on the Florida 5.0 plate IMHO. Seen both and his are MUCH nicer.

Have you done this yet? Just wondering what I'm in for, I was told you can get the Chevy ecu to recognize the ford tach signal when you have it reflashed. Anyone done this or have any experience?

The parts are made. You have to use the crank sensor, cam sensor, coolant temp sensor, MAF, coil on plug, throttle position sensor, intake temperature sensor, O2 sensors. I think that covers it. The crank sensor has to be 50 degrees before TDC and the cam sensor has to be 24 degrees after TDC. You have to use a 36-1 teeth trigger wheel on the crank and a one tooth trigger on the cam.
It appears complicated until you deep dive in it. Then it's straightforward.
Now I have to build the motor. Late 2010 or early 2011.
Check my build thread.
