dont ya just hate flakes?! Well, I guess the bright side is hopefully his LS1 will go to a good, smart owner who will do it justice!

 

1. It's about damn time Ford puts decent engines in their pony. The 4.0 and 4.6 sucked major nuts.

2. For underrating the engine, and having a weight advantage, the Mustang 5.0 really doesn't outperform the Camaro SS by much. It's rather disappointing actually.

Give me a Camaro. I'd rather have IRS and a LS engine under the hood. Everyone knows the reliability of the LS, plus there is huge aftermarket for these engines already. The Camaro looks way better too.

 

I'll buy your motor for cheap... located in Tx too.

I hope you have a large engine bay as the DOHC ford motors are monsters compared to the GM pushrod stuff.

 

i would hope that an engine that has heads the size of a bbc would be able to run that hard

 

Hats off to Ford on this one -- with the exception of the 03/04 Cobra motors they've lagged behind our LS1 platform for over 12 years! Bought time they got in the race.

Pretty damned good for a 302! If they had put that motor in the '05 body style, I might be driving one. Too bad the new "style" is so bug-fugly!

 

I'll never put a ford anything in my ride. I am GM to the bone. Just thought it is cool to see ford step up to the plate. It will be interesting to see How GM counters with uncle sam in charge.

Definitely is about time Ford showed up with the Mustang. That car has just been missin the mark for so long. Seems like a pretty stout car in stock form. I don't think I'd be abandoning ship on the LS platform just like that though, that's for sure.

 

How much are you asking for the ls1?

 

impressive to say the least but the ls motors have proven themselves time after time but hey to each theyre own u know, i for one am not getting rid of my ls1 car
