And for what it's worth, I'm in the process of changing the TA up a little anyway. I'm gonna put the sway bars back on, along with some creature comforts and some 18 inch wheels and make it more of a street cruiser again. I want to take it on Power Tour next year and don't want to do it the way it sits.

LOL...yeah, take it from an independent source who has driven my TA lately! Ever since I pulled the Spohn rear drag bar off in anticipation of putting the factory bars back on it, this sucker has been down right dangerous! If I had to swerve to avoid an accident I would probably cause three more!

The T/A drove fine! A little refining and my wife will probably ride to Va. and steal it from you. She has always wanted a 98-02. A friend of mine has a 99 with the factory blue wheels etc. With low miles for sale. Yours is a 99 correct? 30th anniversary edition? For sale?
I saw your Camaro on "Street Outlaws" the other night!

Yessir, it's a 99 but not a 30th anniversary car. LOL....and no, not for sale. I would lose my *** if I ever sold that thing.
That's funny....ever since that show came out I've got a few buddies calling me "Murder LS" and "Murder Camaro" because of my flat black paint but I always thought "Monza" was much more appropriate! I really dig his car.......but of course I'm a lil biased.

You and me both man, you and me both! I think if I can keep working on my 63 jet tune up, it should net me a 9 second pass later this fall when the weather improves. Hell, the 53 jet almost got me there so I should be good to go with the 63. Just need the weather to cooperate a bit. You're pretty close to it yourself. Are you gonna go for it? I know you were tossing aroud the idea at one point of whether or not to make it a goal.

The fronts are Moroso Trick Springs (212lb) and the rears are Calvert split mono's. All four shocks are just cheapo Competition Engineering three-way adjustables......nothing special. Good luck with your 73.

Those time are just fantastic. I would really like to chase you, but I feel like I really pushed the limits of my chassis last fall. 'Look forward to seeing your 9.XX soon.

I guess it's about time that I update my thread. I did manage to make it to the track as planned on October 25th but I unfortunately waited too late in the season and the track was way too cold for me to reach my goal of a nine second pass. But I don't completely blame track temp because my slicks are extremely old and need to be retired. Heck, I got them free (and used) from a friend and they had been sitting a few years when I got them, so they've served me well for what they were.
The car made good power in the high-30's air but it just wouldn't apply it. It actually started to spin with the front wheels up. The 60' times on my two nitrous passes were worse than the 60' time on my initial NA pass. Here's a vid of my first nitrous pass, first full speed then broken down in slow motion.
The trip wasn't a total loss though because I was able to do some good plug reading to check on my tune up. For now I have no plans for changes to the car over the winter except for a fresh set of tires in the spring. The car may eventually need a progressive controller to hook the 63 jet tune up out of the hole but I'm not convinced of that yet until I try it on fresh tires and a warmer track.
So other than that I've just been enjoying driving the car when I can. A few weeks ago a buddy and I took our cars out for a nice 60 mile cruise to run some fresh fuel and stabil through them before the snow flies. Here are a few pics.

Cool video Gary! I'm glad you replayed it in slow motion. It kept me from doing it myself. LOL
Only if the previous owner could seek her Camaro now, LOL
