Steve I wasnt referring to you on the butt kissing. It was dead around LS1Tech yesterday. I understand about the leaves. That was last weekends project, I bought a Peco bagger system for my Bobcat zero turn and man what a difference it made. Normally I am blowing leaves for days and dragging tarps loaded down with leaves to the woods. With the bagger I just mow over the leaves and they magically disappear. I did have to empty the bags several thousands of times it seemed but a lot easier. I had my son blowing the leaves away from the natural areas and any where I couldnt get with the mower. I am making some progress on the car today but will have to cut it short for other projects this week. I have a golf cart to paint and a friends Nissan that needs some work. Fingers crossed I hope to have mine cranked up in the next two weeks. On top of all this going on my daughter is on the schools softball team and I am in the middle of having the seats on my pontoon reupholstered, laying down some new carpet and rewiring the boat. I built a new trailer last fall it has been a fun filled year to date. At this rate I will never have time to die.

Lets scratch the last comment on having this engine fired up in the next two weeks. I am at a good stopping point on it and will need to take care of a few things.

This is the amount of overspray from 6 coats of paint in the engine bay! Imagine what my lungs look like. Might just wear a respirator next time.[IMG][/IMG]

Here are a couple of ground straps from the body to the subframe. Used the factory style copper ones.

And we are permanently secured in our new home!!! It went in with out a glitch. No scratches it fell right into place thanks to trial fitting and an engine leveler.

And just go figure as everything was working out another problem appeared. The header is hitting the hydraulic line coming out of the clutch master. Guess I am going to get a 90 degree fitting and turn it straight up. Always something has to rain on my parade.

Almost back to her original stance. Once the fuel tank is back in and full of gas and the radiator and accessories are back in she should be back to her normal self.

At the rear of the engine. I could have set this entire assembly back an inch but I like the clearance all around. Hopefully the front will have enough. I feel confident it will.

Next on the list:
1) fit the wiring harness temporarily
2) fit the radiator and fan assembly
3) install the driveshaft and check clearance
4) modify fuel tank with new in tank pump and have it sealed
5) replace the under the dash harness and rewire the existing radio
6) make a plate to close up the hole in the floor board that is removable
7) bleed brakes
8) purchase the radiator hoses and a bypass for the heater hoses outlets
9) once the fuel tank is complete and reinstalled, start to run fuel lines
10) wire in the fans and fuel pump
11) purchase some O2 sensors
12) figure out the route for the air intake, purchase piping an air filter
13) rewire the engine bay once a permanent home is found for the computer but not until I hear it run.
14) only God knows what else will need to be done to make all this happen

Thanks fellas! The biggest hurdle for me was getting everything ready for the final bolt in. I am slow in that department. See Steve you are doing everything right the first time and shouldnt have to go back and redo anything. I on the other hand will eventually have to upgrade my suspension, brakes, and who knows what else. Bmf5150= make sure you take care of the wife. Mine had a fusion done some 7 years ago and it was a tramatic experience for both of us. I worked night shift and had 2 small kids. She couldnt do anything for a couple of weeks. I was on 60hr. work weeks not by choice. Luckily I have this great mother-in-law that would help any time I needed her. Modmustang= I try thats about all I can say. It surely has been a learning process, an expensive one!!

Snow I was wondering if you can elaborate on why you chose to weld a tab to your pedal for your clutch master as opposed to cutting and shortening the rod? Does shortening the rod affect distance of the throw or bottom out the master? Thanks
