Default Has any body modified Gen. 1 SBC headers to fit a LS 1 ?

I have a 67 Chevelle that I am getting ready to yank the SBC out of and swap in a LS. The chevelle has a sweet set of Hooker Super Comp FENDER WELL EXIT headers.

Has anyone cut off the SBC mounting plates and welded on some LS plates that will bolt to the LS heads?

Were could I find LS 1 flanges to weld on the my SBC header primaries?

Yould have to do some custom work rearranging the two center tubes. Cylinders 3,5 and 4,6 on the SBC are siamesed, where all 4 ports on the LS1 are symmetrical.

Summit racing ,they have the flanges, also Ebay, They are common, may i suggest, when you cut the tubes and fab up buy some Hooker tube rings. they help hold every thing together, and welding up the tubes using your TIG welder,,, Have fun it will be A-P-i-T-A !!!
